This lanyard is derived from the painting 'Womens' Business' by Numpie Murras.
This painting is women on country, and their journey to seek the knowledge from elders. As the women learn from the Elders, she passes that knowledge to younger generations.
On her journey she learns about the connection between ancestors and country, and the importance of sharing knowledge and culture to the younger generations.
It is embracing the beauty of country and how to care for country, with the flora and fauna that surrounds us. The rainbow is associated with rain and water which is giver of life, the most important resource for all living things.
The butterfly is a symbol transformation, change, hope and life. The beauty yet short life of the butterfly represents the connection between life and the Dreaming.
